Bamboo Raft Menu
In Japan, nature was once something people lived with, not separate from.
Traditional rural landscapes known as “Satoyama” connected forests, farmlands, and the sea, creating a natural cycle that supported both nature and daily life. Rainwater carried nutrients from the land into the ocean, nurturing seaweed, fish, and the people who depended on them.
Today, many of these landscapes have been left unmanaged, and this natural balance is gradually being lost.
At Harmonize, we are working to restore local bamboo forests by maintaining and caring for them properly, allowing sunlight to reach the forest floor and bringing them back to life.
The bamboo used in our tours comes directly from this restoration work.
Through experiences like building a bamboo raft and exploring the calm waters of Omura Bay, we invite you to reconnect with nature — not as something separate, but as something we are all a part of.
A portion of the proceeds from our tours supports ongoing bamboo forest conservation.
Join us for a unique experience that connects you to the deeper, more authentic side of Japan.
